Through our farmer’s club we have organized this year Training/Workshop on sustainable agriculture through awareness building and demonstration on improving traditional agricultural practices through scientific know-how and technical input. Motivation on use of organic manure, Bio Gas and diversified cropping as also use of neem paste and vermicompost has been made.
he women of the SHGs and adolescent girls of the surroundings have included themselves in our Food Processing Training to enhance their skills and to find out possibilities of being self supported and to undertake group enterprises under the auspices of PDPMSS.
Goatery Training and Dairy Training:
Training on Animal Husbandry for Goatery and House Dairy was conducted by us for the villagers who were interested to start their own enterprise. PDPMSS initiated these programmes as part of its income generation project for poor landless labour and member of SHG and farmers club. These Home based activities are economically viable and have the potential to become more profitable for women with addition of credit and technological support. Through its rural development programme which is multi sectoral, integrated development approach. PDPMSS organized the landless women into self help groups. There 10-15 members in each group, out of which about 6 women on average decided to participate in these activities.
As discussed earlier, unfolding the inherent skill, knowledge and experience of the youths is extremely necessary for sustainable development. If we look at the youths, we will find that there is no dearth of skill and knowledge among them. Only requirement is to unfold those skill and leadership quality and synergy those with the modern science. Therefore, emphasis has been laid on imparting training on youth leadership among the youth.
We have been continuing our computer training for developing computer skill among the unemployed youths for opening avenues for their employment opportunities and to help them to start their own computer center as their enterprise for their self earning. Unemployed youths covered under this programme to get the opportunity for employment/self earning are: 22 numbers (Male- 14, Female-8). Many aspirants have requested to enroll themselves in our computer center.
